tripleS bbb inspired tropes

i'm simultaneously almost done and feeling stuck on my tS fic so i've started thinking about what i want to explore for my next one. i've been really getting into the bleak boyband bingo board and other inspired boards (i found a hockey rpf board and an f1 rpf board!!!) so i decided to brainstorm some bbb inspired tropes/scenarios that i would be interested in exploring for tS.

some of these aren't necessarily tropes or scenarios (ex. age) but are just threads that would be fun to pick at. i would love to add onto this list as time goes on and hear other people's thoughts and ideas on this!


24 girls in a dorm
- gossip telephone
- roommate rotations
- cliques
- isolation and loneliness

never ending survival show
- badge war
- horrifying voting scenarios (stage name votes)
- desperate for screen time
- our unit didn’t hit 100k sales
- i was the (insert role) of the group until you joined

being gay in a group of 24 (“one of us could be like that”)
- internalized homophobia
- other gay person/couple is handling it better
- awkward allyship, external homophobia, only some members know

i know absolutely nothing about tripleS but i do love BBB to bits and play with its prompts in my notes often (and often it'll sneak into fic, since i almost exclusively write idolverse)... all that to say, this post rules and i love the way you think

thank you! yesss BBB is so awesome and i'm always looking for stuff to read that incorporates it. tripleS has so many unique (and bleak) opportunities for narrative conflict lol that i just had to make this. i would love to read or write posts like these for other groups too :)

these are so cool and interesting, they'd definitely fit an unique group such as triples well + i can even imagine some ships/members being perfect for some of these!! "you got the subunit i wanted (and i lowkey hate you for it)" hits so hard, i imagine it would go crazy with yooyeon ships since modhaus (and the fandom) refuse to give this girl a single second of rest lmfao...

yesss big agree on yooyeon fitting that idea. i would love to see more exploration of their subunit system in fic! i'm pretty new to the fandom so i lowkey don't know how the voting tends to unfold but i know that members can share their thoughts on what subunits they want to end up in which can make things really interesting. i'm glad you enjoyed the post and i would love to hear more about your thoughts on what members/ships would fit! <333
