the hardest part is getting started

unsospiro in the past week i have:
writing has always been a struggle for me. something about putting words on a page, of creating something from nothing, freaks me out to the point of avoidance. and yet all of my academic and personal passions involve writing or storytelling to some extent... i really want to become a better writer, a more reliable student, and a person that can call herself an artist.
some specific goals that i would like to achieve are:
- finish and upload a fic to ao3
- take a video of me playing an etude that i'm proud of
- arrange something for piano
- have a video of me dancing that i'm proud of
i'll get started on that research project now.
- 1. started my first fic ever
2. read an entire book on writing screenplays in order to aid and simultaneously avoid the writing process of said fic (save the cat!)
3. agonized over procrastinating on a research project
4. created this dreamwidth on a whim
5. stared at said dreamwidth wondering what to write
